Social media does not reward effort. It rewards showing up.

Most businesses post hard for a fortnight, get busy, and go quiet for a month. The work was real. The audience never saw enough of it to remember you.

Here is twelve weeks of posting, two different ways. Same total effort in the first month. Very different result.

12 weeks of posting

Audience that remembers you

Posts in 12 weeks

19

Longest silence

20 days

Audience at week 12

424

Fourteen posts in the first fortnight, then a three-week silence that undoes most of it. By week twelve the audience is back near where it started.

Illustrative model. Each post adds reach; quiet weeks let it decay. The shape is what matters, not the numbers.

Social media management Melbourne

Connect, nurture and grow your online community

As a social media agency in Melbourne we run social media marketing for businesses of all sizes and for non-profits. You keep the accounts and the audience. We keep the rhythm going.

Which platforms, and why

Being on five platforms badly is worse than two done properly. We pick where your buyers actually are.

Content calendar

A month planned ahead and approved by you, so nothing depends on someone having a spare afternoon.

Graphics and short video

On-brand templates rather than one-off designs, so the feed looks like one business.

Community management

Comments and messages answered, including the awkward ones, in a voice that sounds like you.

Paid social

Meta and LinkedIn campaigns when organic reach runs out, which on a business page it will.

Reporting that is not vanity

Reach and follows are context. Enquiries and traffic to the site are the number.

Where your buyers are

Pick two platforms and do them well

There is no universal answer, but there are patterns. This is roughly how we advise Melbourne businesses when we first sit down.

  • Facebook

Still where local trades, services and community organisations reach people over 35. Groups and reviews matter more than the feed.

    Local & non-profit

  • Instagram

For anything you can show. Hospitality, retail, trades with a visible before-and-after, anyone whose work photographs well.

    Visual businesses

  • LinkedIn

If you sell to other businesses, this is usually the whole answer. Slower, smaller numbers, far better enquiries.

    B2B & professional

  • The rest

TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube and X all work for someone. They are rarely the right place to start, and we will say so.

    Only if it fits

Followers are not the goal

A page with two thousand followers who never buy is worth less than three hundred locals who do. We report on traffic and enquiries because that is what pays wages.

Our social media presence has gone from 0 – 60 in record time! They've fuelled our online success, leaving us cruising confidently down the digital highway.

Before you call

The questions we get asked most

If yours is not here, ask it on the call. We would rather answer it before you commit to anything.

How often do we need to post?

Three times a week, held for a year, beats daily for a month and then nothing. Consistency is the whole mechanism, which is why we plan a month at a time.

Who owns the accounts?

You do, always, including the audience and the ad account. We work inside your accounts, never our own, and access can be revoked in a minute.

Do we have to be in the content?

No, but it helps. If nobody wants to be on camera we build the feed from work, projects, staff picks and useful explanations instead.

Can we do it ourselves?

Yes, and plenty of clients should. We train your team, set up the templates and calendar, and stay on call for the tricky bits through a support package.

Let us take the posting off your desk

Half an hour on the phone and we will tell you which two platforms are worth your time, and what a realistic rhythm looks like for your business.
