Roughly a 49-fold lift in estimated organic visibility — from about 123 to 6,003 monthly organic visits — on just five hours a month. That is what consistency did for Momentum Podiatry.

Here’s how it happened

01

The Challenge

Momentum Podiatry Group is an independent podiatry practice serving Melbourne’s Bayside region, with clinics in Parkdale and Highett and patients across suburbs like Mentone, Mordialloc, Chelsea and Cheltenham. Like most local practices, they were competing for the same searches as larger, better-known clinics — with a far smaller marketing budget to match.

They did not need a new website; they needed to be found. So the brief was deliberately lean: no site rebuild, no sprawling campaign, just a modest and sustainable commitment of five hours a month. The question was a fair one, and one every small business asks — can a retainer that small really move the needle in a crowded local market?

We came on board as an SEO collaborator only. We did not build Momentum’s site; we worked alongside their existing website and team to help their genuine clinical expertise surface where patients were already searching.

02

What We Did

The whole approach rested on a single idea: consistency beats intensity. Five hours a month is not much on its own, and that was exactly the point. Rather than a short, expensive burst of effort, we pointed a small, reliable amount of time at the work that compounds — repeated month after month.

We split those hours across two complementary areas. Technical SEO kept the site healthy, crawlable and well structured, so search engines could understand and trust it and every new page landed on firm ground. Content writing — service pages and blog articles — answered the real questions patients type into Google, turning the clinic’s knowledge into pages that meet genuine search demand.

Over time the content did the visible heavy lifting, while the technical and local groundwork quietly compounded underneath it. Each well-targeted article became a permanent, working asset — answering questions, building trust and introducing new patients long after it was published.

The Results

The growth speaks for itself. Over roughly three years of tracked history, Momentum’s organic footprint transformed: from about 111 to 2,092 organic keywords (a roughly 19-fold increase), and from around 123 to about 6,003 SEMrush-estimated monthly organic visits (a roughly 49-fold increase). Today 832 of those keywords sit in Google’s top 10, and 200+ rank in the top three — the positions that actually earn clicks.

Dig into where that visibility comes from and a clear pattern emerges. Two blog articles — one answering “why does the ball of my foot hurt” and one explaining “what does a moon boot do” — together drive roughly 48% of all the site’s organic traffic. That is direct evidence of the content-writing half of the retainer paying off, with the clinic ranking #3 for “moon boot” (around 8,100 searches a month in Australia) and in the top six for “plantar warts” (around 5,400 a month).

The technical and local foundations show up too. Momentum ranks #1 for its own brand terms and holds strong top-three positions for local searches like “podiatrist parkdale”, “podiatrist mordialloc” and “mentone podiatry” — the high-intent, ready-to-book searches a local practice needs to own. The steepest acceleration came from around the middle of 2025 onward, as the content library matured and the technical work compounded: the results came not from one big push, but from a small, steady investment repeated reliably until momentum built.

A note on the figures: these describe SEMrush-estimated organic traffic and visibility (SEMrush, Australia database, July 2026) — a modelled estimate of search performance, not verified analytics sessions, bookings, leads or revenue. The direction and scale of the growth, however, are clear and consistent.
